There have been at least three known wars that have been fought between China and Japan. The most well known occurred from 1868-1931 and then again in 1937.
China has fought 35 wars in total.
At the present time, China has a much more powerful military force than Japan does. I will add that there does not appear to be any reason to expect war to break out between China and Japan. China has been working very hard to develop its economy and to improve its standard of living, and that would be accomplished much better by trade with Japan rather than war with Japan. Nonetheless, China has the capacity to destroy Japan, should it wish to do so.
China. Japan invaded China in 1937.
Harvan Fine China has been producing beautiful pieces in Japan for over 100 years.
They would've been part of the cold war; instead of the USSR and Red China, it would also be Japan...OR just the USSR and Japan; as Red China would probably have been occupied territory.
China, Japan, and Vietnam
No. China was not involved in Pearl Harbor. Japan attacked the United States in Pearl Harbor. China, however, had been at war with Japan for several years when Japan attacked the United States.
As soon as Germany had been defeated. The UK, USA Russia and France had already agreed on how to divide Europe, and the USSR declared war on Japan (the USSR and Japan hadn't fought in WWII until this point) and 'liberated' China. Many commentators say that the two atomic bombs dropped on Japan were the first warning shots in the cold war.

Japan by far, but their main goal was to conquer hated China. They had been at war with China for years. They fought to almost to a stand still in China. They had a massive war machine but were quickly running out of oil and gas to run it. They came up with a plan to bully the US into selling them oil. Assured that Americans would not fight with their Pacific Fleet destroyed. They were wrong.
China was with the allies as it had been invaded by Japan.
