Original sin was wiped out by the death of Jesus Christ.

It's called 'the handwriting of requirements' in some versions but it more easily understood here:
Colossians 2:13-14New Living Translation (NLT)
13 You were dead because of your sins and because your sinful nature was not yet cut away. Then God made you alive with Christ, for he forgave all our sins. 14 He canceled the record of the charges against us and took it away by nailing it to the cross.
This phrase is found in Colossians 2:14,
Col 2:13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses,
Col 2:14 having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.
The "handwriting of requirements that was contrary to us" describes the law.
In a way the Ten Commandments were against people, condemning people because they could not keep them perfectly. The Apostle Paul is probably not only thinking about the Ten Commandments, but also about the ceremonial law that was given to Israel. In the ceremonial law, there were different kinds of commandments regarding holy days, foods, and other religious rituals. These were all a part of the religion of the Jews. They pointed forward to the coming of the Lord Jesus. They were shadows of His Person and His work.
In His death on the cross, He took all this out of the way, as a bill is canceled when the debt is paid.
"By the death of Christ on the cross, the law which condemned men lost its penal authority, inasmuch as Christ by His death endured for man the curse of the law and became the end of the law." - Meyer
Well, Acts 3:19 (NIV) says, "Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord."
But, if you're talking about the Old Testament laws,
Colossians 2:14-17 (NKJV) says, "having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ."
There are basically three types of OT laws:
Morals are morals (like in the Ten Commandments). That hasn't really changed. The Ceremonial Law relates to Israel's worship. (Lev. 1:1-13) They pointed to Jesus Christ and are no longer necessary after Jesus' death and resurrection. Though the principles behind them, that is to worship and love God, still apply. The Civil Law dictated Israel's daily living (Deut. 24:10-11), but they don't apply to us today.
