The Ivory Coast gained its independence from France in 1960. Félix Houphouët-Boigny was the main leader who led the independence. He was elected into the French Parliament in 1945.
The average price for a troy ounce of gold in 1960 was $35.27

Not enough information. What date? If it's after 1960, it was a current circulating coin worth about 70 cents at the time France switched to the euro in 2002. If it's older than that, please post a new question with its date. FWIW, "cinq" means five in French, so "cinq 5' is "five five"
1 U.S. dollar = 1.11080009 Swiss francs However currency constantly changes. Google is useful in the way you can type in something such as '1 USD to Swiss francs' and it will convert it for you.
Yes it is. The official currency has been Euro since 2002. Oddly, though, French supermarkets still label the price in francs in small print after the Euro price - presumably to help people who still think in francs. Which is not much use to some of my former neighbours who still think in OLD francs. Hedleygb is right to precise the prices in Francs are still mentionned on the price tags. French had and still have difficulties, they need to compare with their former currency. One of the explanation is the complexity of change (1 € is worth 6,59 francs) and there are no "easy" mnemothechnic conversion tool, while the German Mark conversion is very near of one € for 2 marks which seems to be easier. France has known two changings of currency since WWII. What are called the Old French francs (les anciens francs) was replaced by the New franc in 1960 (the new franc was worth 100 Old francs). There are still people who think in Old Francs (generally old people). The task for them has been hardened with the adoption of the €uro.
More information is needed. Francs were issued for hundreds of years; please post a new question with the coin's date. In any case francs minted since 1960 are worth very little - maybe 20¢ in circulated condition.
France has not used francs as its currency since 2002. The final issue of 1FF coins (1960-99) weighed 6 gm and were slightly larger than US quarters.
Assuming their dates are 1960 or later, your coins would be ordinary circulation coins that were in use up to early 2002 when they were replaced by euros. In early 2012, French banks definitely stopped to accept the old currency. They can only retain some value as collectible items. In that regard, coins issued after WWI have a value close to nothing, especially if the coin had been circulated.
The French football champions in 1960 was AS Monaco.
The value of a Belgian 20 Francs 1960 coin can vary depending on its condition and rarity. As a rough estimate, a circulated coin may be worth around $5 to $10, while a well-preserved coin could be valued at $20 or more to a collector. It is recommended to have the coin assessed by a professional numismatist for an accurate valuation.
AS Monaco won the French League championships in 1960.
As a collector's item, it would depend on the condition it is in, and how plentiful this denomination and year combination is. At face value, it is worthless, for all practical purposes. As a matter of fact, since France adopted the euro in 2005, you might not be able to exchange this even if it were a much bigger value. In 1960 new francs were issued, with a value of 100 old francs to one new. Your 5 franc would then have been worth 5 centimes. When I was in Europe in the late 1960s and 1970 I think you could get a cup of coffee for about 50 centimes--that would have been ten of the coin you have.
How much is a vintage 1960 pepsi bottle worth
Answer: About .76 euros That was the conversion rate at the time France stopped using francs and adopted the euro as its currency. However, if the question refers to a 5-franc coin dated earlier than 1960, the situation is a lot more complex. France revalued the franc due to inflation, and older coins may be worth either very little if they're common circulation pieces or much more if they're scarcer collectibles. Bottom line, if it's an older coin please post a new question with its date.
