Einstein and Mileva Marić had a daughter they called Lieserl in early 1902. - this was Einstein's only biological daughter. It is actually unknown what happened to her, since in the records available the last mention of her is in 1903. There is one theory that she died of scarlet fever as an infant, and another that she was adopted by a close friend of Maric's and raised as 'Zorka Savic'. As far as I know neither of these has ever been proved. It's all here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lieserl_Einstein
Einstein's second wife Elsa Löwenthal had two girls from her first marriage, Margot and Ilse. Although these weren't Einstien's daughter's biologically, I believe he and Elsa raised them, so they were essentially 'adopted stepdaughters' to him and I think he more or less treated them as his daughters.
Anyway, hope that's helpful.
