Alexander Graham Bell had 2 brothers, one older (Melville James) and one younger (Edward Charles). His mother's name was Eliza Grace and his Father's name was Alexander Melville.

He married Mabel Hubbard when he was 30 years old and they had 4 children. The 2 boys did not live past infancy, and the two girls were named Elsie May and Marian Hubbard.

Alexander's father, grandfather, and brother had all been associated with work on speech and elocution (the study of grammar). This greatly impacted his work on the telephone. His mother was most likely a caretaker of the house and children, and did not have a formal job, as she was a deaf woman in the 1800s. ~Ares

His father was a professor, as well as a elocutionist. I'm not sure if this provided a living for Alexander Graham Bell.
