Siddartha Guatama was a Hindu prince who had been confined in his palace since birth by his father. He set out at age 29 after already having married and had a son. He went out 4 times. The first time he went out he saw a old man. The second time he saw a sick man. The third time he saw a corpse. The final time he saw a happy religiouse man. At that point he decided that religion was the onlt way to escape suffering. So he went out for good the next time. He discussed the Hindu religion with other Hindus, fasted and finally meditated under a fug tree for 49 days. At the end of those days he reached a state of perfect understanding and fromthen on was known as Buddha.
