The 2nd half's climate was during glaciation
the carboniferous period had crinoids, echinoderms but today we don't have it
During the Carboniferous period, the environment was warm and humid, with vast swamp forests covering much of the land. These forests eventually formed the coal deposits we see today. In contrast, the present environment is cooler and drier overall, with different vegetation and ecosystems in place.
Carboniferous period, which spanned from about 360 to 300 million years ago. This period was characterized by extensive swampy forests, where plant material accumulated and eventually transformed into coal due to geological processes like burial, heat, and pressure over millions of years.
During the Carboniferous period, the Earth's surface was covered with vast swampy forests comprised mainly of ferns, club mosses, and horsetails. These forests eventually turned into the coal deposits that we mine today. The climate was warm and humid, and the landmasses were mostly concentrated into a supercontinent known as Pangaea.
The Earth's climate during the late carboniferous period was very similar to the climate of today, but during the early part there were some differences. Atmospheric CO_2 was a little higher, and so was global temperature. See: http://www.geocraft.com/WVFossils/Carboniferous_climate.html - SHARLENE ROMERO-PANCAN

The Second Half - 1993 Like Father Like John 1-5 was released on: USA: 5 October 1993
During the Carboniferous period, approximately 359 to 299 million years ago, there was no significant ice age comparable to those in later geological periods like the Pleistocene. Instead, the climate was generally warm and humid, leading to the extensive formation of coal swamps. However, towards the end of the Carboniferous, there were signs of glaciation in the southern hemisphere, particularly in present-day Gondwana, indicating a cooler climate shift that eventually contributed to the formation of ice sheets.
no. absolutely not. like i said before, i don't know what went on the second half of this series, and i'm done talking about it. an eleven year old and a nine year old? forget it. i can't defend this show anymore when the second half of it can suck so bad in every way possible. period.
The first ancestors of mammals appeared in the Carboniferous period about 358.9 ± 0.4 million years ago. Before this time there were no mammal or mammal like creatures present to become fossilised.
Arthropods were at their largest during this period due to high oxygen levels. It´s sometimes called the Age of the Insects. Ferns and horsetails grew to the size and build of trees, too, and fossils of them are common.
