5, one to each hand and each foot, though only one nail was used to nail his feet to the cross, the nail pierced both feet causing two wounds and then The Bible states that he was pierced in the side, thus causing the 5th wound.
I have to add though, this does NOT include the wounds sustained by the crown of thorns or the beating in which he had to endure, to count these wounds, (and we do count them as being very important) would make the actual number of wounds Jesus received pretty much immeasurable.
one..the spear in his side. The other injuries were done before he was nailed to the cross. Apart from the pain of the already sustained injuries, He suffered the nails to his palms, his wrists and feet, and the spear in his side. He also suffered the anguish of seeing his mother weeping, the pains of the peoples rejection of his words and the pain to the body caused by the effects of the crucifixion.
First off, even before the actual cross, He received 39 lashes from a cat of nine tails whip when 40 wou kill you. The whip would penetrate then rip skin a flesh. Then once on the cross he was nailed hand and foot to the wood. To breath on a cross, one had to lift themselves up and fall down again. With nails through your hands and feet would be bad enough, but Jesus took it with a ripped up back containing a small amount of skin. Soon after he died, but to make sure, the soldiers struck his side near the heart with a spear to ensure he was dead. That sounds brutal, but im sure it looked worse and im probably missing a few things for all I know. So there you go. From a Christian to anyone who needs this.
According to the Gospels
he had had a crown of thorns put on his head....
* Mar 15:17 And they clothed him with purple, and platted a crown of thorns, and put it about his head, * Joh 19:2 And the soldiers platted a crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him a purple robe, and he had been scourged (whipped)....
* Mat 27:26 Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified. * Mar 15:15 And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas unto them, and delivered Jesus, when he had scourged him, to be crucified. * Joh 19:1 Then Pilate therefore took Jesus, and scourged him.
Six.
One in each wrist made by the nails that nailed his arms to the Cross.
One in each ankle, made by one nail driven through both ankles at once as his leggs were twisted sideways on to the Cross
One multiple wound across his head caused by the crown of thorns
One made by the spear thrust in his side to ensure his death.
(And that's not counting the hundreds of lashes received when He was mercilessly flogged; as in the filw by Mel Gibson. )
We do know that a spike was driven into each hand/wrist area and one into the feet of Jesus, and we know of the spear piercing his side, but we do not know what wounds were sustained during the beatings and scouragings that He suffered. It would have been many.
Five. One in each hand and foot from the nails, and one in his side from the Roman's spear.

The office of Pope was not formally established until decades after the crucifixion. However tradition has it that Peter became the first Pope, so yes he knew Jesus before the crucifixion, but he was not yet Pope then. He specifically and emphantically denied knowing Jesus during the crucifixion!

The crucifixion of Jesus was about 300 years prior to Constantine.
The Garden of Eden is where the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, lived after their creation. There is no movie depicting the life of Jesus from the Garden of Eden through his crucifixion. But if you mean to ask from the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus prayed before arrested until crucifixion, I would say Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ".
It is Latin for Stations, or Way of the Cross, in reference to the last hours of Jesus before his crucifixion.
