The Popocatepetl volcano IS NOT the tallest peak in Mexico. Such distinction is for the Pico de Orizaba (19Â°1'48''N 97Â°16'12''W) which has an elevation of 5,636 metres (18,490 ft); almost 210 meters or 689 feet taller than the Popocatepetl.
