The incredible ability of the USA armed forces since 1989 is because of the massive amount of money that the Reagan administration spent on defense. There is no question that the USA and the world were a lot better in January 1989 than it was in 1981. Ronald Reagan is easily one of the best post WWII presidents. No wonder he was reelected in 1984 with the votes of Every state except Minnesota, and Washington DC.
