Not as far as I know, and I teach there. It would certainly be interesting to have him on campus; but actually, he studied about a mile up the road from us: he was a graduate of Harvard Law School, with academic honors, in 1995.
I'm not sure it's the smartest, but it's definitely the oldest-- it was the first college in the colonies, founded in 1636, and it has a long and storied reputation, which has made it synonymous with "where the smart people go." As a result of that perception, supported by how many famous people attended Harvard, many people all over the world have heard of the school, and the campus of Harvard has become a tourist destination. Among the famous people who either attended or taught there are John Adams, John Hancock, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, W.E. B. Dubois, T.S. Eliot, Ted Kennedy, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Lou Dobbs, Ted Cruz, and Barack Obama. Thus, for many people, Harvard is considered an important and respected university, known for its scholars, its research, and its role in American history.
