What was Tudor Christmas like?

The main difference between Tudor times and nowadays is that America hadn't been colonised, so we didn't have the familiar Christmas foods like turkey or chocolate. Dried exotic fruits like dates and raisins would be eaten or turned into sweets such as Christmas pudding or mince pies.

Instead of turkey, people would eat goose.

There were no Christmas trees or Christmas cards, as these were only introduced in Victorian times.

The emphasis would have been on eating and drinking rather than giving lots of presents.
