He did a lot of writing and actually won the Nobel prize for literature. In addition he was also Prime Minister again in the 1950s after Atlee. He received many speaking invites the most famous of which was his "Sinews of Peace" speech at Westminster College in Fulton Missouri in 1946. There he coined the famous phrase "Iron Curtain" and most of the Americans did not have a clue about what he was talking. The line started "From Stettin in the Baltic to Trieste in the Adriatic an Iron Curtain has fallen across the continent --

He served in the army in wich he was invovled in the last great calvary charge. He was Lord of Admirality [Head of Navy} during WW1. He invented the prototype tank and pushed for the aircraft to be made. He Was Lord of Admirility again from 1939-41. Then He became WW2 Prime minister for Britain andf gave many famous speeches. He also rote many books including A history of the English speaking people and Memoirs of WW2. He also painted alot and studied poetry
