To be a Camp Commandant the person must a rank of SS-Obersturmführer which is equivalent to 1st Lieutenant (American Army) or Lieutenant (British Army). However lower ranks could be camp commandants if they half at least 2 years experience or a Position Recommendation by anyone who is ranked SS-Oberführer (SS-Senior Leader) or higher.
