America contributed with aspects of military, by providing more, but limited, amount of troops to the European front. This number tended to be larger than the remaining German troops; thus, the tiresome Germans were demoralized knowing that the enemy had replenished their supplies (troops, food, aid) and battle would continue to wage. Ideologically, the Americans strong momentum coming into the war at such a later period really helped raise the moral of the Allied powers while at the same time crushing those belonging to Germans, who assumed that the war was coming to a close, and a victory for them.
