Celebrating that event is a form of innovation in the religion as the prophet (peace be upon him) also his great companions did not celebrate such event; plus, now the event has developed into non-islamic practices such as mixing men with women, singing etc. Furthermore, still there is no 100% confirmation that the prophet was born on that specific celebration date.
