The Great Compromise, aka the Connecticut Compromise was when the large and small states agreed to form a bicameral legislature (legislature with two houses), which resulted in the formation of the US Senate and House.
Amendments can be ratified by Legislatures of 2/3 of the states. Amendments can be proposed by 2/3 vote of each house of Congres.
Proposed: by Congress (any house) or by a National Convention assembled at the request of 2/3s of the states legislatures. Ratified: 2/3s of the state legislatures or by 2/3s of those National Conventions assembled at the request of the states.
2/3 of the Senate and House of Representatives must pass it; then it must be passed by 3/4 of the state legislatures
alcoholic+house=tavern
None of the above. According to Article V of the Constitution, the *only* ways to amend it are 1) two-thirds of *both* houses of Congress approve it, or 2) two-thirds of the State legislatures (that is, the legislatures of two-thirds of the states) call for a Convention. In either case, once the new amendment is approved by Congress or the Convention, then *three-fourths* of all State legislatures must approve it before it is ratified and becomes part of the Constitution.

Article V of the Constitution states: The Congress, whenever two thirds of both Houses shall deem it necessary, shall propose Amendments to this Constitution, or, on the Application of the Legislatures of two thirds of the several States, shall call a Convention for proposing Amendments, which, in either Case, shall be valid to all Intents and Purposes, as part of this Constitution, when ratified by the Legislatures of three fourths of the several States, or by Conventions in three fourths thereof, as the one or the other Mode of Ratification may be proposed by the Congress So an amendment can become part of the Constitution either: 1) By the passage of the amendment by 2/3 of the house and 2/3 of the senate, followed by ratification by the legislatures of 3/4 of the states. OR 2) By the legislatures of 2/3 of the states calling a special convention where any approved amendments must be followed by ratification by the legislatures of 3/4 of all the states. Only the first method has ever been successfully used to amend the US Constitution.
Two assemblies. The word "bicameral" means two rooms. Bicameral legislatures include Congress (Senate and House of Representatives) in the United States and Parliament (House of Commons and House of Lords) in Britain.
Not clear on the specific question. State legislatures have to ratify amendments whether via an amendment approved by 2/3 of Congress and then 3/4 of the state legislatures or by Constitutional Convention which is made up of state legislature reps. Hope that answers your question.
It has to be agreed by 2/3 of congress. OR 2/3 (34) of the state legislatures
