the north had little or no need for slavery because of there geography. agriculture did not revolve around slavery. this not saying that slaves could not be used but in this society they are not as excepted in the north as in the south. without slavery, the south's economy would be drastically different. the north already had ajusted to no slavery. people like to stay with status quo.
Minimal. The South had become a feudal aristocracy, and young men were discouraged from going into industry.
The south deserved to win, not morally of course but strategically. The Sourthern soldiers were able to reload faster and shoot more accurately The Sourthern soldiers were generally braver The Southern generals were much smarter The North lost a lot more men then the South and in Grants Campaign the North lost every single armed battle. The North simply had too many men for the south. No matter how many men died in the north more kept coming in, the draft had been implemented so some of them unwillingly. When the south lost a man it was hard to replace and so they ran out of men to keep Grant back in the final weeks of the war
The south wanted slavery to exist, but the north wanted to fight against it. Even though the north treated african americans better than the south, they still didn't see them equal to the white men.
The main elements for the South in the US Civil War ended in a disaster. After four years of waging war to gain its independence, the South lost over 300,000 men and huge losses in property that the war destroyed.
