the Nazis were the party under the power of Adolf Hitler at the time. Hitler believed that the Jewish community were the cause of all the problems in the world and therefore wanted to get rid of them. due to this, he imprisoned them, along with poles, people with disabilities and others, and sent them all to concentration camps, where they were either gassed in gas chambers or worked and starved to death. some Jews tryed to escape the camps by going into hiding, but most were found out and sent there anyway
