World War 1 was the first war that used planes [propeller and 2 or 3 pair of wings] and tanks. Also known as the "Trench War" and "The War That End All Wars". Germans first used the Poison Smoke Bomb.

World War 2 was the first war that used 'arrow' shaped wings [propeller and 1 pair of wings] and better tanks. Germans had more ideas. Such as a plane powered by V2 missiles [never made], panels that destroys planes [shot down 1 plane], a stereo that can 'pluralize' troops [never used], planes that can hover like dragonflies [never made]. So much more, but I don't know them.

World War 2 made today, today. Space Shuttles, High Speed Jets, Stealth Fighters/Bombers, and many other things. It made China, North Korea, and Vietnam Communists, too. World War 1 made the idea of planes in war possible.

Along with all the things that were invented wwII also brought the great depression to a final end. The idea for America's interstate came from Germany when Eisenhower saw how well the autobahn worked for moving troops and war material. That's why he built the interstates when he became president.
