The event in which Mary, the mother of Jesus, was taken into heaven, body and soul, is called the Assumption of Mary. This feast is celebrated on August 15th in most countries and is a Holy Day of Obligation within the Catholic Church. Although this even is not stated anywhere in the text of The Bible it is in the dogma of the church that this holy event took place based upon foreshadowing within the Book of Revelations, rumors dating back to the fourth century, and the infallible definition given by Pope Pius VII on November 1, 1950.

What is Mary's body assumed into heaven called?

The Blessed Virgin Mary did not Ascend into Heaven as Our Lord did, but she was Assumed by the will of Christ. This happened because The Blessed Virgin Mary was the Mother of God, and as such, was given the honor of being the prime mortal example for all of humanity as she was born without sin (called the Immaculate Conception) and was Assumed into Heaven body and soul as we all will be at the second coming of Christ.

Where is Mary Jesus' mother's graveyard?

Catholics believe that she was taken up to heaven body and soul (also called the Assumption) so there was no need to bury her. Other Christians believe, however, that she died a natural death but the location of her grave is unknown. Catholics also can believe that Mary died a natural death and shortly afterwards her body was assumed into heaven. This does not deny the doctrine of the Assumption of Mary. Tombs of Mary are claimed to be in both Ephesus (where she lived for a time) and in/near Jerusalem. Both could be correct as tombs may have been prepared for her in both locations but, in the end, either one or neither was used.
