----it was hard conditions there where rats and human waste was rotting in the bottom -they did not have a suitable place to excrete/urinate - so there where maggots, fly's and other bugs.
----it was constantly being strafed by Nazi gunners
In some cases, the water in the trenches rose to chest level. This also created much mud.
soilders were extremly tired in the trenches if they wernt fighting they would be in the medical or sleeping.
Very bad There was a lot of mud Toxic gases Smells like rats lice everywhere dead bodies on the floor
it was very poor living conditions and soldiers were subject to diseases such as trench foot, the gout, aids, pneumonia, etc . it was also very dirty and was an awfully cramped place to live.
For the soldiers life in the trenches was really tough. The soldiers shared there beds with mice and rats. Also it was not only summer whilst in the trenches it was also winter meaning frequent rain. This made the soldiers lives umbearable and gave them trench foot. Type that into the internet and you will see how horrific life for the soldiers realy was.
The Western Front, the result of the German Army and the British (and French) Armies being totally exhasted, was a matter if living in trenches in the ground while occasional incompetent commanders forced groups of soldiers to 'attack' the other side. The sanitary and living conditions were horrible, the trenches frequently containing up to 3 or 4 feet of water. Given that both armies were dug in, there was little incentive to plan real tactical attacks on the other side.

the soldiers dug the trenches them selves so they just looked like fields.
No fun at all. Dirty. Muddy. Smelly. Wet. Cold. Disease. Rats. Yet, the trenches were the only places that offered a modicum of safety for soldiers in this war.
sad, depressed and homesick because of the harsh and horrible living conditions and the soldiers missed their home family and friends.

Trech? is a lower level digged during war in a flat ground for being in the "safe zone" It was very bad living in a trech. Most people died. It was very boring living in trenches, discomfort.Soliders lived on the fear of being killed. Some trenches were more dangerous because of their position but others were less and the soldiers even enjoyed a good night laugh and some time to relax. The soldiers had to cope with extreme weather. If it rained they were soacked. Hope I helped <source: a world study after 1900>
the conditions were horrible. If you want a better description anyone can feel free to change it
They were very different from the British soldiers and wanted to declare independence from England.
