He is the son of "Duane DOG Chapman". He is a bounty hunter like his father and runs his own bail bonds company. He is the third son of Dog behind Christopher and Duane Lee. When he was a teenager he wanted to be a gangster but Dog cracked the whip on him after Dog himself was arrested. Dog obviously did not want Leland to go trough this so he brought him back into shape. He has a big heart like dog and is a professional boxer, mixed martial arts fighter, kick boxer, and extreme fighter. He is most likely the best guy for the bounty hunting job.
