at first lindens point of view for animals was that the animal just new how to get thought about the human language and he noticed that no researcher cared much about ape escape artist
part 2secondly linden started to hear about fu Manchu break outs and started to realize that animals can think because fu Manchu found many ways to escape and not get noticed by the zoo keepers.

i think authors use animals as charters because animals are REALLY interesting to read about! also i think the author wants to show they are a good writer by telling a story from an animals point of view because that would be so hard! i mean, most animals aren't the smartest things ever so i really like to read books about how the authors think the ANIMALS think! :)
