Earlier philosophers thought the're might be no possibility to gain any kind of knowledge. Hegel had no doubts about the existence of knowledge. He thought there was a system with a theory, a reverse theory and out of both came the better theory, who got a reverse-theory and out of them came a better theory. This system will go on, and in the end, we will have reached the point of knowing everything.
