Yes they did and we have a watercolour painting of men of that tribe in a dugout canoe catching fish, while others use spears to catch more in the shallows. There is also a kind of fish-weir, which acted as a large trap for fish which could then simply be scooped out of the water. Fish featured as a major part of the diet of all coastal tribes.
