There were three main effects of the Six Day War. The first is that Israel's territory increased drastically. The second is that its military advantage over the threat of the surrounding Arab nations greatly increased due to the strategic advantage of the land, a buffer zone of the land, and a blow to the Arab nations' armies. The third is that the moral of the Israeli nation and in fact Jews around the world skyrocketed in light of the miraculous victory. In the long run, Israel was able to give the land that it had obtained to create peace treaties with the surrounding nations over the years. For example, Israel gave away the Sinai Dessert (which is larger than all of Israel) to Egypt in exchange for a cessation of attacks.

The result of the six day war was Israel taking back the "OLD CITY", which was taken from them by the Romans... It incliudes the most sacred place to the Jews, which is the temple and the "west wall"... Israel totally dominated Egypt, which was allies with king Hussein.. King Hussein didnt really want to be allies with Egypt, and backed out after the old city was taken, before the fighting reached him... The Egypt leader lied to king Hussein, and told him Egypt was dominating, BUT the fighting was so close to king Hussein, he drove a few miles and overlooked the old city from a hill and could see Egypt was getting their rear ends kicked in... King Hussein then decided to offer peace to the Israel... King Hussein stated that his decision to side with Egypt was the worst mistake of his life!!! Over 250,000 Muslims were forced to Jordan, and had to live in refugee camps, because the Israeli's (Jews) took their homes!!! But remember thiose homes were once taken from the Jews by the Romans...

AnswerIsrael gained land from four neighboring countries (Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon). Also, Israel drew international criticism for the preemptive strike which it claimed was necessary for its national security. Many Arabs were displaced from their lands, or they found themselves living in Israeli-occupied lands, leading to much resentment against Israel over the following years. Militarily, the Six Day War was an amazing success for Israel. Politically, its results were not entirely positive.

The Six Day War of 1967 had many consequences. The fight over the Israeli-controlled West Bank is one example etc

The Six Day War shattered the Arab sentiment that Israel could easily be removed and made them feel humiliated. After the war, Arab leaders vowed that they would never make peace or negotiate with Israel. (The "Three Nos")

As the Palestinians were not really involved in the Six Day War, the situation changes occurred as a result of the land acquisitions by Israel.

1) Israeli Military Administration of the Gaza Strip and the West Bank: This is probably the most important shift. The Palestinians went from being under foreign Arab occupation to being under Israeli Military occupation. This shuttling of Palestinians to a different occupier and a non-Arab occupier led to increased financial support of Palestinian Militant organizations from Arab and Islamic States and to Israeli Settlements in Palestinian Territory. Many of the current problems in the Palestinian Territories stem from the Israeli Military Occupation and the Palestinian Paramilitary Resistance.

2) Second Exodus: Many Palestinians fled in the wake of the Six Day War, adding to the refugees already battered in the refugee camps throughout the Arab World.

3) Family Reunifications: Many Palestinian families had been divided by the 1949 Armistice Lines, but the new borders meant that Palestinians could travel to Israel and Israeli Arabs could go to the Palestinian Territories. Israel also set up a program to allow divided families to have Israeli citizenship and thus live entirely within Israel.
