An altar is actually called "the altar", although if there are many altars in a Church, they may be called by a specific name, like the main altar, the high altar, the side altar, the Blessed Virgin Mary altar, the altar of repose, the Blessed Sacrament altar, the St. Joseph altar, etc.

There was no part of King Solomon's temple that was specifically designated as a wood storehouse. However, at the rear and on the two sides of the temple there were huge chambers for storage. They varied in width, and were 5 cubits high. (1 Kings 6:4-6,10)Doubtless wood for the altar fire would have been stored there, or brought in as required.See Related links below this box for plan of temple, showing storage areas on west north and south sides of temple.
Cuzco was chosen as the Inca capital because of its strategic defensive position high in the Andes Mountains, its central location within the Inca Empire, and its proximity to agricultural lands. Quito, on the other hand, was located in a valley surrounded by mountains that made it more vulnerable to attacks and difficult to control compared to Cuzco.
