Many kids aged between 3-15 (Or 18, I can't remember, just say late teens) if they lived in cities, were evacuated to small villages in the country. The reason for the evacuation was because the big cities were being bombed by Nazis. Some children were temporarily schooled or tutored, but not everyone. Anyone who did manage to get schooling wouldn't have had a lot of fun as any schools would have had little light and poor recourses, a well as being cramped.
