SLavery was very horrible. The people who were enslaved didn't have many rights. They had to work for little or no pay at all. They were hoeing fields, and picking crops, and everything. That's a slave for you!!! Also main part of this is segregation. We had to do all of this, and we weren't even able to drink off of the same water fountain, go to the same restaurants, and do fun things. Back in the day you would be lucky to even be able to go to the movie theatre. Most of the time you would have to sit in the back anyway. It was very sad.
