The Nazi's (Hitler) wanted to take over the world. They first invaded Poland and then other countries joined both sides. Many people died and terrible things happenend. Stalin (Russian leader) also didn't want to take risks and killed many just to protect his country and many other countries did the same.
So yeah... I'm Russian, a future Wilsonian and I answer like a god eating bacon!
Let us not forget the attempted wholesale elimination of an entire ethnic group - the Jews.
The main connection between the 2 world wars, is that few issues were settled by the Treaty of Versailles; in fact, the terrible economic penalties against the losers and division of countries were the main causes of World War II. Fran Logan
World War One ended in 1918, and World War 2 started in 1939.So that would 21 years.
World war 1 had Trench Warfare and World war 2 didn't really have that, thus World War 2 was much more mobile. WW1 used chemical weapons, which WW2 didn't, mainly because Hiltler banned their use after he had experienced the terrible effects of gas when he served on The Western Front in WW1. WW2 involved much more air combat, while WW1 involved planes used primarily for recon purposes.
It depends on what you mean by same. World War 2 and the Civil War were not the same war and they were not for the same causes like slavery. So to me they are nothing alike.
