Daily life in colonial Delaware meant hard work. The women would spend their day tending to children, cooking, baking, sewing, doing laundry, and tending the animals, Men would spend the majority of their day in their fields, crafting furniture, and building. Unnecessary recreational activities were highly frowned upon. Sundays were dedicated to attending church and worshipping in the home.
It was hard. people went to church often. men hunted, fished and farmed for food. (sometimes the slaves did the farming) Farmers relyed on slaves to take care of land, kids, thier home and run a buisness.
Most people in Colonial Delaware lived on farms outside of a main town. Children were schooled at home, and the women took care of the cooking and cleaning. They also made much of the clothing for the family and milked the cows. The men raised crops and farm animals and both the men and women helped when it came time to harvest the crops and slaughter and smoke the animals for food. In the evening, families played games or sang and played musical instruments, if they had them.
