There were really three different periods of "Stone Age"; the Palaeolithic, Mesolithic and Neolithic, each with its own specific technologies and advances.

All of this took place in what we call prehistory. This means that no records were kept, no writing system had evolved and nobody else was around to take notes. Only the things that survive in the archaeological record are known about those times - items of bone, shell, antler, stone and similar materials. Nothing connected with language can ever be known about those prehistoric times, unless you can invent a time machine to take you back with a pen and paper to record spoken words.

It is very likely that many different languages evolved in different places and at different times, giving rise eventually to the huge number of languages in the world today.

The Stone Age refers to a long period of time spanning millions of years, and during this time, languages would have varied among different groups of people. Without written records, it is difficult to know the specific languages spoken during the Stone Age, but it is believed that early human ancestors would have communicated through a combination of gestures, signs, and vocal sounds.
