Absolutely not true. We are living longer and healthier lives. We are smarter, better informed and able to obtain more information then ever before. We, as individuals produce less pollution per person then even a generation ago. We do so in greater comfort and live these comfortable lives far more years then before. Women rarely die in child birth. Our teeth don't hurt as they would have even 100 years ago. We are able to survive with bad eye sight that would have doomed us 1000 years ago. We are able to survive and live in areas that were not possible without technology of a few generations ago. There is no aspect of life that is not better due to the technology of today.
