The X58 is a high performance chip-set that supports the Core i7 processors, the P45 is more a mainstream desktop chip-set.
The Intel X58 Express Chipset supports the Intel Corei7 processor family . Its technical specifications include Max TDP of 24.1 W and supported FSBs of 6.40 GT/s.
The newest motherboard is a relative term, as it can refer to chipset or manufacturer specific boards. The newest Intel chipset available is the Intel X58 Express chipset, which bears an LGA 1366 socket and supports the Nehalem (Core i7) architecture. Boards that use this chipset include the Asus P6T series and Rampage II, as well as Gigabyte's EX58 series boards, Foxconn Renaissance and Bloodrage, and many others.
That depends on chipset. For instance Intel X58 can support up 4 ports natively + 2 for marvell controller. Server motherboards have more SATA ports available. Newer generation motherboards can support 6 and more SATA port natively.
The latest processor, the Intel Core i7, only supports ram in multiples of 3 (e.g. 3GB, 6GB, 9GB, etc). Any motherboard using the Intel X58 chipset will support the Core i7.Three popular motherboard choices are (but there are still many others out there):EVGA E760 ClassifiedASUS Rampage II ExtremeGIGABYTE EX58-UD5
'Best' is a loaded term. Do you want the motherboard with the most features, the fastest stock, the most overclockable, do you want a 'desktop' or 'sever' motherbaord, etc.? At the moment, the "Intel LGA1366 Platform/Intel X58 chipset" is the top of the line motherboards for Intel CPUs, and "AM2+/ATI 790FX chipset" for AMD. This will chance quickly, as computer hardware always does. AMD vs Intel, Intel at the moment has the fastest CPUs, but AMD tends to be better on price/performance.
z400 may refer to an ATV produced by Suzuki, or a workstation produced by HP. The HP z400 includes an Intel X58 Express chipset with Intel Xenon processors, up to 16GB memory, and Windows Vista or Linux. The Suzuki z400 (not to be confused with the DR-Z400 motorcycle) includes a DOHC engine with an electric starter and ignition. It comes with oil-damped suspension and tubeless tires.
DDR, DDR2 and DDR3 dual channel, DDR3 tripple channel used by Intel X58.

This question is a bit misleading so I will clarify what I expect you want and what I'll answer. What is 58% of a centimetre in millimetres. So there are 10mm in a centimetre. 10mm/100, x58 is 5.8mm.
