To march into Italy, enlist the aid of the northern Celts there, then try to detach Italian and Greek city-states to their side. They did not have a siege train and so could not attack Rome itself, but concentrated on dominating the countryside and defeating any army which Rome could assemble.

"Punicus" is Latin for "Carthaginian." It refers to the people, culture, or anything related to the ancient city-state of Carthage in North Africa. The Punic Wars were a series of conflicts between Rome and Carthage in the 3rd and 2nd centuries BC.
The two most important figures were the Carthaginian general Hannibal and the Roman general Scipio Africanus.
