I own one of these, and the woman I bought it from in the early 1980's told me her husband had won it, as one of the top salesmen for McCormick company in the 1930's. She had taken it to one of those fly-by-night gold buyers, and had agreed to sell to them for 50$. But when she asked their plans for it and was told they would melt it down for gold content, she told them'forget it', and offered it to me for the same price ,knowing I would treasure it and protect it. It is still in the original box from Medallic Art Company, New York

While the Knights Templar had banking operations in the the Middle East and Europe, they were not known to have issued money either in paper script or coinage. You may have a commemorative medallion- like those honoring various battles, historical events, and the like.
I am not aware of any such coin. It might have been a posthumous medallion as she died in office. LurleenWallace was the first and to date only female governor of the State of Alabama. She was the wife of George Wallace. It has been argued she entered politics as a second-stage extension of her husband"s career, as he had reached the term limits for Governor. She was an attractive woman and died young, of Cancer. If there was such a token or medal, it was not strictly speaking a coin. She has been dead long enough- that I am not surprised a stamp has not been issued honoring her memory. But coins, regular US issue- Not to my knowledge.

Your coin is an Adelaide (South Australia) Jubilee medallion in the same year as Queen Victoria. In mint condition, your medallion might fetch up to $10 AUD. A reputable coin dealer will be able to give a more accurate valuation.
