The significance of the Olive Branch petition was meant to be to end the war with a peaceful conclusion. Since King George never bothered to read the petition it only made him more angry. Maybe his anger was his weakness. Maybe that was why we won the war. Anyway, the petition that should have been only made the war more severe and has no significance that I can recall.
The Olive Branch Petition was adopted by the Continental Congress in July 1775 in an attempt to avoid a full-blown war with Great Britain.
to prevent Parliament from breaking with the colonies until a compromise could be worked out
To persuade the government to consider the grievances of the colonists and not go to war with Great Britain. To persuade King George III to repeal the Intolerable Acts.
It stated that colonists were loyal to the king.
They sent the Olie Branch so King George lll would repeal the Intolerable Acts.
Everyone wanted to ban Olive Branches, but the United States wanted them So they made a petition.

No. The girl can not petition the court for you to adopt her. It would be possible for her father to give her up for adoption and you to adopt her. She, however, can not change the situation on her own.

Legal immigrants have pretty much the same rights as other residents. They can petition a court to adopt. There shouldn't be an issue with it if they meet the other criteria.
