Pearl Harbor was a surprise attack from the Japanese on December 7th of 1941, because they were mad at us for a lot of reasons. We had put all of our ships and planes in pearl harbor and the japs had found a way to know exactly how to hit every ship. the only ships that were not in the harbor were the us carriers the military says that is because they were doing practice runs. But some people say it is because some one knew the japs were going to attack and the easy ships that could get out would be the carriers and we could pt planes on them to attack other people.
