The Battle of Actium was the final decisive battle of the civil war between Octavian, Julius Caesar's nephew, and Mark Anthony. It was fought in 31BC as part of a conflict betweem the two afore mentioned members of the second Triumvirate to see who would have control over the country. Octavian won, and became Emperor Augutus four years later.
