They are not. They are animals of least concern.
Coyotes can eat sparrows but they are very small prey. My guess is that they would rather use their time hunting larger animals.
The cat said that so the sparrows would come to rest on her paw thinking that they were all comrades, and then the cat would eat the sparrows when they are sitting on her paw. But none of the sparrows sat on her paw.
Well, as a baby many animals weigh less then one kilogram, but i would say that a bird of some sort would weigh less than a kilogram, or a snail or somthing. A full grown Ant LOL!

It's difficult to tell whether or not sparrows can hallucinate from hunger. Few brain studies have been done on sparrows and the majority of the knowledge we have on them is through direct observations of living, wild bird behavior. Knowing that most animals have the same emotional range as people, and are considered unbridled, or more severe than our own, it is plausible that sparrows can have hallucinations from extreme hunger, probably near death.
