One of the greatest deceptions in the world is man's ignorance of the "invisible spirit realm" that exists all around him -- his ignorance of angels [spirit beings both good and evil].

The Bible reveals them to those who "believe" what it says. But to the vast majority who don't believe and who reject the Truth of God's Word - they cannot or will not understand the religions of this world.

The religions of this world are all different forms of IDOLATRY!

They're all the worship of gods OTHER THAN the True God. "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me." [1st Commandment]

They are all "deceptions" that blind men's hearts and minds to God's Truth. Satan told Eve in the Garden [Gen.3], that God can't be trusted. ''God knows better than to tell you you will die -- you WILL NOT DIE,' he told her. He told her that God is wrong! God's telling them what is "right and wrong" is FOR THEM TO DECIDE FOR THEMSELVES... thereby bestowing upon her the illusion of the God-prerogative, and qualifying themselves in their own minds to become their own gods.

Mankind has no idea how easily he has been influenced, duped and deceived by the "spirit realm" since the Garden of Eden.

The religions of the world are "tools"... one of many "devices" that Satan has used to drive wedges between man and his Creator... to blind men to God's Truth... and to SET MEN AT ODDS WITH OTHER MEN. Whether those odds are the division of sects and denominational differences... or the division of national beliefs that lead to wars.

Satan is overjoyed and delighted with himself when he can convince men [and especially whole nations] to shed one another's blood for the sake of one wasteful vanity or another.

A study of history reveals that MOST, if not ALL, the wars in the world, directly or indirectly, have been [and ARE] the result of "religious beliefs."

Look at the world, today, for example, at the "religious terror" that is gripping the planet, perpetrated by the zealous fanaticism of Satan-deceived men.

The "cause" isn't the "religion"... or the "men." The "cause" is "Satan the Devil" and the "spirit realm" all over the world that men can't even see.

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, butagainst prinicipalities, against powers, against rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." (Eph.6:12)

Satan has always concerned himself with the "leaders" of men... of governments. He's not concerned with the "little guy"... there are 'legions' of "unclean spirits" [demons; fallen anges, as some say] in the world to deal with the average man. Unless an instance comes up where that little guy has some important high-level connections -- like Judas Iscariot:

"Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot..." (Luke 22:3).

The Jews [God's 'chosen people'] also were [and are] blinded by Satan to God's Truth. Jesus says so:

"...Jesus said to those Jews which believed on Him, If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed: and ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free... Why do ye not understand My speech? Even because ye cannot hear My Word. YE ARE OF YOUR FATHER THE DEVIL, and the lusts of your father ye will do... When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. And because I tell you the Truth, ye believe Me not." (John 8:31-45)

Satan fanned the carnal religious beliefs in the blinded hearts of the Jews into burning hatred... and murder. That's what he does. He deceives the world... that's his business.

"...that old Serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world..." (Rev.12:9).

In Jesus' description of the "four horsemen of the Apocalypse" who have been riding across planet earth since the beginning... the very first horseman to ride, who leads to the second horseman, WAR, is FALSE RELIGION!

"...BEWARE THAT NO MAN DECEIVE YOU. For many shall come IN MY NAME [under "religious pretenses"], saying, I am Christ; and SHALL DECEIVE MANY." (Matt.24:4-5)

Sooner or later... the spirit realm is sought out by blinded men, because the faith they placed in the world will disappoint them... and they will seek out something better; sometimes desperate things... sometimes invisible things. Plus, miracles can sometimes be hard things to explain away. Plus, spooky things that happen that give rise to an awareness of "spiritual things."

And in the course of man's Satan-influenced, spiritually blinded and deceived search for the Truth -- thousands of false religious beliefs arise to give men a "cause." And many of those religious beliefs cause men to argue. And when their disputes become unreconcilable [which all the false religions in the world are]... they go to war.

Not just in Europe... but all over the world.

Nor is the "spirit realm"... its false religions and its influences over man finished yet.

God's Truth prophesys of a major global religious war that's coming during a time it calls Great Tribulation. A time of unprecedented distress on earth entailing religious and economic turmoil as well as unusual disturbances from space.

"Immediately after the Tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and powers of the heavens shall be shaken: and THEN shall appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven..." (Matt.24:29-30).

Two men... to whom Satan will give global power... will join their combined military, economic, national and religious powers [see Rev.13] to cause the blinded government and religious leaders of the world to "fight the invading forces" that are coming in the clouds.

The "spirit realm" will summon all the might and power that man possesses, to one more time, go to war against God's Truth.

"For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that Great Day of God Almighty... into a place called in the Hebrew tongue ARMAGEDDON." (Rev.16:14-16)

The "cause" of religious wars is the one who designed the religions -- Satan the Devil with his ancient powers of influence over deceived men.
