That depends on which France you are talking about. The Nazi controlled the northern half of France after it collapse in 1941. The souther part of France was called Vichy France and was nominally free, but did pretty much what Nazi Germany wanted.
New France is the name of the colonies that France formerly had in Northern America, including large parts of nowadays Canada and a large slice of what is now the US, down to Louisiana. It isn't the France you know today.
