The currently Brazil's economy, still reflects the one from before of globalization, mainly based on agriculture. The most popular products of Brazil - since the colonization of Portugal - was:
- 1° - "Pau Brasil" - (About 1500) until the tree almost get extinct. This product was used to make ink for fabrics.
- 2° - Sugar - At Brazil's northest - one of the first regions to be colonized by portugueses there is - or there was - a great ground to sowing, called "massapê" soil. There, the portugueses instituted vast plantations of sugarcane and for a long period they sold it for all Europe, however the portugueses don't knew how to process the sugarcane for obtain refined sugar, then, this job was done by the Dutch people.
- 3° - Coffee - This one lasted a long time - until be replaced by soybean at the half of last century. The most of political of the time came from the coffee farms, they were called "coronéis" (coronels) or barons of coffee.
I tryed to cite the most important products from this country but, of course, there are many other like cotton, alcohol, orange among others.
The internal market of Brazil never was an atractive for internal firms - I say about 100 years ago - and because of the manner with which the history was written being Brazil colony of Portugal, the Brazil's market always was kind of globalizated, always trying to serve the European countries or USA - without products with agregated value.
That started to change about 80~70 year ago when Getúlio Vargas came to power. He encouraged the nacional industry that began to develop - but he closed Brazil's doors to the big international industry . After him, there was Juscelino Kubitschek that made the opposite of him antecessor.
During the colonial period, another important caracteristic of the Brazilian market was the extraction of gold, silver among other ores.
I hope I have been helpful.
Inland, many Portuguese settlers created cattle rancher, discoverd gold, gems, and prouduce coffee.
Before I answer this question, I want to pose another question. What will happen when the growth of a nation's economy cannot be independent? On a globalization background today, the hidden part of high efficiency of economy is risk. Economic integration can be considered as one form of globalization. It makes a nation's government less intervene in market economy. It seem everything depending on market. And this market is just like a moving chain, when two are disconnected, the whole cannot work. This is the starting point of economic problems in economic integration, and even in globalization.
Brazil has always been called Brazil since the Portuguese before there were only Indians living there and there was no official name.
Yes before the democracy in Brazil here is military dictatorship like Venezuela
globalization is see like causing problem for human.
The United States economy before the war was extremely prosperous as the slave trade proved to be a lucrative business.

One example of globalization is the entrance of fast food franchises to Eastern countries like Japan. This has lead to a dramatic increase in the national obesity rate and a loss of cultural practices surrounding food. A second example is the positive effect globalization has had on the economy in India. India now has one of the fastest growing economies in the Eastern world.
It sounds to me as if you mean World War 2.
(i) Through trade liberalization and free market economy, globalization has stimulated much utilization of natural resources, there are many companies which are investing in national resources like mining ,fishing ,etc ,these companies enables Tanzania to utilize her resources for development of her people (ii) Globalization has made production and transportation of goods easier and faster than ever before. Therefore it enable Tanzania to get different varieties of goods of various quality and quantity from any part of the world (iii) In some instances, globalization creates employment opportunities to many people. For examples different companies such as vodacom, tigo, mining companies etc employ many Tanzanians. (iv) Through globalization of social services, there is wide spread of private schools ,hospitals, dispensaries which contribute much in providing services to the people ,hence improving their well being
