The Allies top priority in World War II was the defeat of Nazi Germany. A majority of their military assets were used against Germany with the war against Japan being seen as secondary. To this end, the Western Allies provided material assistance to the Soviet Union and engaged in a strategic bombing campaign against Germany until they opened the "Second Front" by invading Normandy, France on June 6, 1944. Meanwhile, they had tied down considerable German forces by invading Italy in 1943.

∙ 12y agoQuite simple, In Europe it was to stop the Advancing superior Germans and in the pacific it was to destroy Japan.
In Europe the goals of the Allies fighting was to:
-Defeat the Germans
-Destroy any Axis or Neutral-Axis countries
-Eliminate Germany major supplies such as Oil, Coal and Agricultural products
-Demolish any Axis Major Military buildings
In the Pacific the goals to the Allies fighting was to:
-Defeat/Bomb Japan
-Destroy Japans supplies and resources
-Get rid off the trade/transport of resources between Axis in Europe to Japan
-Demolish any Japan Military buildings.
So if you see here the goals are the same in bomb theatres of war, their goal was to defeat the axis, get rid off their supplies/trade products and to Destroy any military buildings (such as, Tank or Gun Manufacturing factories) Which could oppose a threat to the Allies
