President Barack Hussein Obama II is the 44th president of the United States of America. Obama was first elected to the office of president in 2008 and then was re-elected in 2012. As such he has given two separate inaugural addresses.
The first sentence of President Obama's first inaugural address on January 20th 2009 went as follows:
"My fellow citizens: I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors."

"Each time we gather to inaugurate a President we bear witness to the enduring strength of our Constitution."
