This is general food mainly for Rus' (13th century Russia), though it may very well have been used through-out Europe. Grains: rye, barley, milet, oats, wheat (all used as breads, 'pancakes,' and gruel) Meats: beef, mutton, pork, chicken, duck, goose Fish: sturgeon, pike, perch, smelt Fruits: cherries, apples, raspberries (preserved in honey), plums, Pears Vetables: turnips, cucumbers (pickled and fresh), lentils, beets, carrots, beans, peas, onions, cabbage Drinks: kvass (fermented rye), kumiss (fermented mare milk), barley beer, mead (of sweet, dry or peppery varieties) Misc.: eggs, milk (mare, goat and cow), dried mushrooms, hemp seed oil, flax seed oil Imported Foods: dried figs, preserved lemons, olive oil, nuts
