The philosophies of individualism emerge from the concepts of classical normative philosophies of liberty and freedom of an individual -the Descartes philosophy cogito ergo sum ,but as a member of a social group absolute notions do not exist.

Individualism therefore is an idea in neo classical, that seeks identity within a social group in physical & psychological manifestations of an individual in society or as the Freudian psychoanalysis as ego in the subconscious as behavioral concept in individualism .In the sociological context it is a conflict between individualism and collectiveness in institutions in society.Modern concepts are hybridizations of most philosophies in extended philosophies of individualism.
