Adams won
I think you are confused. Jackson supporters accused Henry Clay of making a deal with John Quincy Adams in 1824. The supposed deal was that Clay got his supporters to support Adams for president over Jackson in exchange for which, Adams would appoint Clay his Secretary of State.
Corrupt bargain
Jackson supporters called it the Corrupt Bargain.

Henry Clay who finished fourth and was no longer in the running was able to get his supporters to vote for Adams. In return Adams made him his Secretary of State. This apparent bargain infuriated Jackson supporters and did great damage to Clay's chances in future elections.
