The Kyoto Protocol is an international treaty that aims for developed nations to compromise to do efforts to reduce the emission of atmosphere's harmful gases, to which is known as 'The greenhouse effect'. It has the participation of the parties of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, was adopted by them in 1997 and entered into force in the year 2005. It was signed by and ratified by 192 parties, among them the European Union and all the UN countries but the US, Canada, South Sudan and Andorra.
